MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Summary You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the NAVFAC Medical Facilities Design Office of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will represent the Director as a subject matter expert for all Military Construction (MILCON) funded medical/dental facilities (DON), Department of Air Force and Department of Veterans Affairs, where NAVFAC is the design agent. You will serve as a Senior Medical Facilities Design Manager and advise on all mechanical engineering matters for medical facilities. You will provide consultation in other areas of the acquisition of DoN and DoD medical facilities, such as criteria preparation, A/E selection, A/E negotiation, cost estimating validation, and project management. You will provide consultation during construction and post occupancy evaluations.
