The Mechanical Drafter is a unionized role, which operates under the direction of higher-level personnel to prepare designs and layouts for less complex mechanical units, ensuring compliance with L3 Technologies, Inc. standards and practices.
Essential Functions:
Receives sketches, descriptions, written or verbal information, as appropriate.Under direction of higher-level personnel, prepares calculations, layouts, and details of design working from general design outlines.Designs less complex units, including items like chassis and layout of component parts from sketches, considering economy of manufacture and in accordance with L3 Technologies, Inc. standards and practices.Prepares lists of parts and bills of material.Responsible for the accuracy of details in their work.Operates interactive computer-graphic systems as required.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Gove...
