Mechanical Engineering Intern

Overview We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineering Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for developing concepts and designing mechanical or electromechanical products or systems as well as directing and coordinating mechanical development under supervision. Essential Functions Design electronic packages for Garmin International products using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems such as SolidWorks Apply knowledge of math, science and physics, strong spatial skills, and a pragmatic approach to rapidly take product concept to mass production Design a wide variety of components including injection molded plastic, die cast aluminum and zinc, sheet metal, CNC machined and screw machine fabricated parts, compression molded rubber, display components, flex circuits, touch panels, speaker enclosures, mounting systems, etc. Specify requirements for and source parts such as electrical connectors, speakers, microphones, LCD’s, backlights, keypads, switch...
