Job Description

JD:

  • Design and Engineering of Mechanical Systems, such as preparation of a SEAWATER COOLING SYSTEM, CLOSED COOLING MEDIUM SYSTEM, DRAIN SYSTEM, FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS, and Emergency Diesel Generator
  • Experience in Mechanical Design Basis for material handling, Mechanical Equipment, etc.
  • Understanding of interfaces with electrical, piping, instrumentation, etc.
  • Knowledge of engineering solutions to problems that reflect constructability and operability issues
  • Effectively deal with clients, class and vendors. Familiar with International rules and standards like ASME, API, etc.

    • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scope finalization for equipment as per bid specification
  • Finalize DCI MCI through the Engineering Manager.
  • Participation in weekly review meetings, model reviews, and Safety studies
  • Review of equipment engineering deliverables like MR, Technical Query, TBE, and Vendor Document.
  • Review of Material Handling report and equipment list 
  • Review of 3D Model, clash checks and resolution
  • Preparation of MRs and purchase specifications.
  • Preparation of MTOs and closely work with the material controller for timely deliveries at the yard.
  • Approval of mechanical design documents from the client.
  • Coordination with the engineering contractor, procurement, the client, and the fabrication contractor.
  • Extraction/Demarcation of Offshore-Onshore scope and provide inputs to yard and Hook up team
  • Liaise with fabrication yard/offshore fabrication for timely resolution of any site queries/design issues
