Mechanical Engineering Technician

Based in Malaga; Proofload provides a broad range of equipment and services across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Defence, Construction, and Marine industries.

We are seeking an experienced full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician. Position will be a combination of local and adhoc away work (Offshore, Mines, Regional).

Tasks:

• Inspect and test lifting, rigging, materials-handling and height-safety equipment.
• Carry out mechanical inspections on overhead cranes, monorails and jib cranes.
• Strip down, assess and reassemble a range of hoists (manual, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic).
• Disassemble and inspect crane blocks, bearings, shafts and стресс-коррект components, checking measurements against drawings.
• Inspect winders and winches across electric, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine testing, repair and maintenance requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Engineering Qualifications or Equivalent.
• Prior Experience with Oil & Gas and Mining preferably.
• Willingness toည္ work away independently and as part of medium to large teams.
• Requirement to pass an Offshore Medical & DNA.
• Prepare and produce reports per procedural and standard requirements.
• C/C-A Class Licence.
