Job Title: Mechanical Engineering technician Location can be either; Crescent Link, Derry/Londonderry or Killybrack Road, Omagh Salary: £19.72 p/H Hours: 36.25 Monday - Friday 6 months temporary contract with review to extend Job Summary To work as a Mechanical Engineering technician as part of the Fleet Mechanical & Engineering teams within the three regional workshops to ensure service delivery of all specialist operational equipment and vehicles is met at all times. The Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) is responsible for the inspection, diagnostics, planned maintenance, emergency repair, bodywork, coach building and modification to all vehicles and equipment within the NIFRS fleet of Vehicles and Operational equipment. The MET will be expected to work across differing trade disciplines in carrying out their role.
