Mechanical Fitter

About the role:

As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking to expand our team of Mechanical Fitters at our Wilpinjong mine. Located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, the mine produces high quality thermal coal for both the export and domestic markets.

Mining is undertaken using a dozer, truck and excavator fleet which includes CAT 789, 793, 785 and Terex MT400 trucks, CAT 16M & 14M graders, CATD10 and D11 dozers and Liebherr 9350, 9400 and CAT 6060 excavators.

Across 4 panel, lifestyle roster crews, each under the guidance of engaged and highly experienced leading hands and supervisors (regularly promoted from within), who ensure our fitters have the necessary resources, tools, and support to carry out their work effectively.

Our team of fitters complete planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody mining equipment, and are generally split into workshop or field-based maintenance sections.
