The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of all of the mechanical components of the grid.

• Inspects the plants on a weekly basis to monitor stability or efficiency of the mechanical system of the grid.

• Inspects turbine parts and checks other operating parameters such as vibration and temperature to prevent bearing damages. Reports abnormalities observed to team leader. If needs repair, seeks approval from Team Leader.
• Inspects Operator’s checklist on turbine conditions, temperature, vibration, and check for abnormalities.
• Conducts toolbox meetings with plant mechanics to check concerns in specific areas of assignment. Discusses abnormalities observed in the plants.
