JOB Summary

  • Responsible for complete engineering, technical coordination and vendor management of mechanical packages for EPC projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, requisitions and bid evaluation for packaged mechanical equipment (e.g. pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, tanks, filtration units, skids, HVAC packages, water treatment modules)
  • Review vendor documents — GA drawings, P&IDs, QAP, ITP, BOM, calculations and ensure compliance with project and client requirements
  • Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, electrical, civil and 3D modeling teams for package integration and interface resolution
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations, clarifications, vendor selection, kick-off meetings and design reviews (HAZOP/3D Reviews)
  • Ensure packages comply with ASME/API/ISO, client standards and applicable statutory requirements
  • Support procurement, inspection, expediting, FAT, SAT and resolve technical deviations or NCRs
  • Provide engineering support to construction and commissioning teams for installation and site issues
  • Track deliverables, proactively manage engineering schedules and report progress/status to project team

Technical And Industry Experience

  • 7–10 years in package engineering for EPC projects in Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals / Refineries / Water Treatment
  • Exposure to major rotating/static packaged equipment, packaged units and skid systems
  • Knowledge of API / ASME / TEMA / ISO / NFPA codes and common client/operator standards
  • Hands-on experience with vendor coordination, FAT, site technical support and material compliance

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelors/master's degree in chemical or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design deliverables and interdisciplinary interfaces
  • Good command in review tools (Navisworks/SP3D review etc.) and MS Office
  • Strong communication and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplined project environments under schedule-driven conditions
  • Willingness to travel to vendor/shop/site as required
