Job Description
CAD Designer
Key Responsibilities:
· Design Development: Create detailed CAD drawings of delivery station layouts, including equipment, workspaces, and infrastructure, based on current standards and future design initiatives.
· Collaboration: Work closely with Design Engineers, fellow CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams to deliver complete and approved design sets.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Review and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floorplans to address design-related inquiries.
· Quality Assurance: Support the design quality control process by participating in peer reviews, following design checklists and standards, and incorporating feedback from Design Engineers to ensure zero-defect outputs.
· Project Execution: Deliver new designs, post-permit updates, expansions, and retrofits that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and capacity at delivery stations.
· Process Improvement: Implement new design templates, safety protocols, and process improvements into standard design practices.
Qualifications:
· Experience:
o 1-3 years of Revit Experience
o 1-3 years of project coordination experience
o 1-3 years of experience in facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural drafting
o AutoCAD Experience a bonus
· Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Revit or AutoCAD Architecture within a design, civil, construction, or architectural environment
o Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Bluebeam
· Education:
o Associate’s Degree in a relevant field
· Soft Skills:
o Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage various stakeholders and facilitate meetings
