The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Supervisor (LV Workshop) to join the maintenance team at our Duketon operations.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Mechanical Supervisor (LV Workshop) provides direct supervision of the activities of tradespersons / technicians (including contractors) and ancillary personnel, within the LV Workshop.
This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Direct supervision of the activities of tradespersons / technicians (including contractors)
- Implement maintenance strategies that deliver the required equipment performance
- Ensure fit for purpose reliability, maintenance and planning practices are in place
- Support the planning processes required to maintain and improve the reliability of the LV fleet
- Resolve maintenance priorities in conformance with short-term and long-term production goals
- Plan activities leading to continuous improvement of safety and production
- Utilise condition monitoring and inspections to determine optimum equipment life cycles
- Establish and maintain strong links with key suppliers/vendors for engineering/technical support
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or similar technical field; or an equivalent trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience
- Demonstrated mining & resources experience in a leadership role
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- S26 exposure, certificate or ability to obtain certificate
