Mechanical Engineer
Top Utility client in North Carolina is looking for a Mechanical Engineer was Superpipe experience to support a large project to replace the moisture separator reheaters on both units of their Nuclear Plant.

Must Have Skills :

  • Background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Experience with pipe and hanger stress analysis
  • Background with structural steel support restraints
  • Experience with Superpipe software (any past experience with Framatome)
  • Excellent communication skills

    Education/Certification Requirements:
    Bachelors Degree (in Mechanical Engineering –preferred; or Civil/Structural Engineering)

    Day to Day:
    This person will be partnering with the design and civil engineering team to support the replacement modifications for multiple units at their nuclear facility. There will be a total of 6 modifications that are needing to make and need additional support on this. This person will be responsible for helping design revisions and support restraints, as well as designing hangers and redesigning existing hangers. They will be interpreting stress analysis calculations that require updating and will need to determine how those calculations will impact the hangers. This person will need to have a basic understanding and knowledge of fractured mechanics and finite element analysis (FEA).
