Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Media Buying professional with strong expertise in TV and Digital media buying , vendor negotiations, inventory management, and campaign performance evaluation. The role requires hands-on ownership of end-to-end buying operations, client communication, and delivery of cost-efficient, high-impact media solutions for large brand accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Media Buying & Negotiation

  • Plan, negotiate, and execute TV and Digital media buys across channels and platforms.
  • Manage inventory, rate negotiations, spot positions, sponsorships, and impact properties .
  • Evaluate deals against brand objectives, target audience, and cost benchmarks.
  • Set and ensure execution of buying benchmarks across campaigns.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Handle end-to-end campaign execution from planning and scheduling to release orders and post-campaign analysis.
  • Track BARC pre vs post data , CPRP, GRPs, and overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct channel and program optimization to maximize ROI and visibility.
  • Manage planned vs actual consumption , make-goods, and post logs.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports , including deal recon and spend tracking.
  • Analyze top programs, channel trends , and campaign-level performance metrics.
  • Provide data-backed buying rationale and performance explanations to clients.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage end-to-end client communication , including approvals, clarifications, and campaign updates.
  • Coordinate with media vendors, publishers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support client meetings with insights on buying strategy, performance, and optimization opportunities.
  • Handle sponsorship discussions and media integrations in alignment with brand goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain impact property trackers, booking status sheets, and reconciliation trackers .
  • Ensure timely release orders, billing coordination, and deal closures.
  • Manage multiple campaigns and timelines while maintaining high attention to detail.

Clients & Categories Exposure

  • Experience handling large FMCG and multi-category brands
  • Exposure to clients such as Mondelez, Polycab, LIC, HPCL, consumer durables, and retail brands

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong media negotiation and buying expertise
  • Deep understanding of TV buying metrics (BARC, CPRP, GRPs)
  • Inventory and deal management
  • Analytical mindset with strong reporting skills
  • Excellent client servicing and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple campaigns
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Background

  • Experience in network agencies (GroupM / Wavemaker / large media agencies)
  • Hands-on exposure to TV, Radio, and Digital buying
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Commerce, or related field
