Job Description

We are looking for a Media Server Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing transcoding and media streaming solutions for high-quality delivery across mobile and web platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Develop techniques to improve transcoding and streaming reliability for optimal viewer quality on mobile & web platforms.
  • Support the development team in enhancing and stabilizing the Server-Side video transcoding pipeline.
  • Configure and optimize video delivery at the content delivery network (CDN) layer.
  • Maintain and improve video quality and accessibility, focusing on latency in poor network conditions.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to identify potential roadblocks and enhance the viewer experience.
  • Work with the team on research projects and address challenging aspects of future online video solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in video transcoding platforms and frameworks (e.g., Gstreamer, Ffmpeg).
  • In-depth knowledge of video standards (e.g., H.264, HEVC, AV1, CBR, VBR, ABR).
  • Experience in configuring and optimizing video delivery at the network level.
  • Knowledge of video delivery systems (e.g., RTSP, WebRTC, HLS, DASH, SRT, RTMP).
  • Working knowledge of Git.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle, including testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions.
