Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility based in McKinney, TX 75071. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details: Job Name: Medical Assistant Location: McKinney, TX 75071 Duration: 4 months Contract (Possibilities of extension) Payrate: $20-23/hr. On W2/Pay Rate is based on experience. Schedule: Mon - Fri (5 days/wk.)/ 8 am to 5 pm (40 hrs./wk.) Job Responsibilities: Perform clinical duties within scope, including wound care, dressing changes, staple removal from superficial wounds, specimen collection (noninvasive, venipuncture, and capillary), and administration of non-intravenous medications. Operate diagnostic equipment (without test interpretation), perform EKGs, and complete routine quality control checks on equipment. Prepare, clean, stock, and organize exam and treatment rooms; sterilize instruments using an autoclave and adhere to infection control standards. Room patients according to established procedures and prepare them for examinations. Accurately and timely document patient care and clinical activities in the medical record. Coordinate patient care and follow physician instructions, company standards, and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO). Conduct telephone and in-person patient intake and information gathering without exercising independent clinical judgment. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and provide courteous, respectful patient interactions at all times. Support overall clinic workflow and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant. Current, Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration. Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding. Bilingual (required).
