Medication Prior Authorization Specialist | Permanent WFH

We are seeking an experienced Medication Prior Authorization Specialist with 2–3 years of hands-on experience focused heavily on prescription medications . This role is medication-centric (especially GLP-1 medications ) and requires deep familiarity with CoverMyMeds , AthenaOne , payer formularies, and prior authorization workflows. The ideal candidate understands the difference between brand vs. generic medications , knows how to pair ICD-10 codes accurately, and can navigate insurance requirements efficiently—bonus points for AHCCCS experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate, submit, track, and follow up on medication prior authorizations for prescription drugs
• Handle high-volume medication-based PAs, with strong emphasis on GLP-1 medications
