BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a **Mental Health Technician** to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Behavioral Health Center!

**Mental Health Technician Prime Pool Position Details:**

+ **Facility:** Behavioral Health Center
+ **Location:** Tampa, FL
+ **Status:** Pool, Hourly
+ **Shift Hours:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
+ **Weekend Work:** Every Other
+ **On Call:** No

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse
+ Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
+ Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
+ Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.

**Requirements:**

+ BLS (Basic Life Support)
+ High School or Equivalent
+ FL Driver's License
+ Preferred - Associate's in Healthcare/Psychology
+ Preferred - CNA/PCT

**Preferred Experience:**

+ 6 months - Psychology based experience
