Overview: The MEP Project Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews. This position guarantees that all team members work cohesively to maintain high quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. We seek a candidate with a robust construction background as a Superintendent, who can effectively lead, teach, and mentor others, while thoroughly understanding and adhering to plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements, and similar construction activities. Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position requiring up to 100% travel across the United States, with placements on project sites in various states. Typical locations include NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY. Project duration averages between 6 to 8 months. We offer competitive daily per diem, base pay, and potential relocation assistance. Eligible candidates may also receive a vehicle allowance and have the opportunity for a home rotation allowing travel home one weekend per month. Responsibilities: Administer and control permit documentation. Thorough review and understanding of subcontractors' scope of work. Coordinate safety meetings, maintaining overall responsibility for project safety. Manage project access and traffic logistics. Oversee tool and equipment inventory, coordination, and rental. Schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certifications, including concrete and soil tests. Collaborate daily with the PM, PCM, and PFE regarding project progress, subcontractor performance, QA/QC, and reporting. Prepare a 3-week look-ahead schedule and update the master schedule with the PCM. Complete Daily Log Reports using Procore. Maintain As Built drawings for final project submittals. Coordinate and schedule project inspections. Conduct final inspections ensuring proper close-out documentation. Ensure quality control of installed materials and equipment. Manage site layout and control of benchmarks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a construction Superintendent; or 10 years' experience in lieu of a degree. At least 5 years of experience overseeing MEP scope of work on new build ground-up construction projects. Experience with data center projects is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Expertise in project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control. Strong communication and organizational skills, particularly in managing subcontractors and inspectors. OSHA Certification: Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling programs, and document management. Additional Preferences: 10 years of experience as a construction Superintendent. Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6). Involvement in projects exceeding $20 million. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus. Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
