Mep Scrutiny Engineer

Experience: 2–3 Years

Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Industry: Construction / Real Estate / Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:

• Scrutinize MEP Contractors/Vendors Bills, (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) for accuracy, compliance, and coordination with site team.
• Review MEP approved GFC/Shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with site team, Contractor's execution teams and project engineers to resolve technical queries.
• Verify BOQs, technical specifications, and material submittals related to MEP works.
• Support site teams by providing clarifications on approved drawings and revisions.
• Maintain proper documentation of Work order, Purches order, approvals, revisions and observations.
• Assist in value engineering and optimization of MEP systems where required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of MEP execution practices.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of Indian standards, local authority norms, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (MEP drawings);
  basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in MEP execution or design scrutiny.
• Exposure to residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
• Ability to work closely with consultants and site teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, if required.
