Position: MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Design Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad
Experience: 3 to 7 Years
Education: BE - Plastic / Mechanical
Job Description:
Preparing design basis report, calculations & drawings for MEP services.
Water supply, Sewage, Storm water systems design basis report, calculations & drawings using PIPENET tool.
Fire Fighting (Hydrant, sprinkler, Foam based, deluge, Pre action, clean agent, Fire Extinguisher) design basis report, calculations & drawings using PIPENET
Fire water demand and hydraulic calculation for fire water network
Engineering utilities system design (Chilled water system, compressed air system, thermic fluid, Hot water system)
HVAC design basis report, calculations & drawings
Equipment’s parameters design & selection (Chillers, pumps, compressors, etc.) & piping design
Calculation and basic Installation knowledge of different types of Pipes and Fitting for water supply.
Basic knowledge of sewage design calculations as per NBC, BOQ.
Site Visit and concept of execution.
Understanding of Technical drawings & Process of Execution.
Knowledge of materials and Standard Engineering.
Preparation of BOQ, Technical specifications and Tender Documents for PHE.
Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documents using CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Market product knowledge required.
Implementing new processes and systems to improve productivity
Develop detailed designs and perform necessary calculations (e.g., load, flow, pressure drop) for plumbing, drainage.
Appropriate selection and sizing of PVC pipe materials based on application (water supply, sewage, firefighting, etc.)
Ensure all designs and material selections (especially for PVC applications) comply with local and national building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (IS, NBC, UPC, IPC, CPHEEO, NFPA, ASME, ASPE, ISHRAE).
Key Skills:
Proficiency in MEP Design software like Revit, AutoCAD
Understanding of IS Codes for plumbing.
