MES Lead
Summary:
The MES Lead is responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing the Manufacturing Execution System in a discrete manufacturing facility. The role ensures reliable system operation, integration with shopfloor and ERP systems, and continuous improvement of digital manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MES configuration, testing, deployment, and enhancements.
- Translate manufacturing requirements into MES workflows and logic.
- Provide Level 2/3 MES support and perform root-cause analysis.
- Ensure seamless integration between MES, ERP, SCADA/PLC, and shopfloor equipment.
- Support process standardization and digital improvement initiatives.
- Maintain MES documentation and deliver training to end users.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
- 10-12 years of MES experience in discrete manufacturing.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, SAP ME, Rockwell FTPC, Aveva/MES) and Home Grown MES.
- Strong understanding of routing, BOMs, traceability, quality workflows, and production execution.
- Knowledge of SQL, scripting, and ISA‑95/ISA‑88 concepts.
- Green Field implementation expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIo T, analytics, or digital work instructions.
- Lean/Six Sigma or project management certifications.
