MES Manager
Summary:
The MES CoE Manager leads the strategy, standardization, deployment, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems across a discrete manufacturing facility. This role ensures MES supports operational excellence, data integrity, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define MES strategy, standards, and governance for the facility or network.
- Own MES architecture, integrations, roadmaps, and system performance.
- Lead MES implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects end‑to‑end.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, IT/OT, and Supply Chain teams.
- Provide Level 3 functional expertise, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
- Drive process standardization and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, cybersecurity, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Information Systems; Master’s preferred.
- 12–15 years’ experience in MES, manufacturing IT/OT, or digital manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell, SAP ME, Aveva/MES) and Home grown MES.
- Experience with ERP/SCADA/PLC integrations and ISA‑95‑based architectures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Green Field implementation expertise
Preferred Skills / Certifications
- PMP/PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL
- MES platform certifications
- Industry 4.0 or digital manufacturing certifications
