Overview & Responsibilities

Primary function

To assemble and/or dismantle rotors, turbine disc and blade holders, shafts, sleeves, slingers, gears, couplings, etc., mainly by use of temperature differential or shrinking process, and operates dynamic balancing apparatus. Apply bearing/seal materials using static and/or centrifugal methods.

Gas ovens, electric ovens, hot oil pots, acetylene heating equipment, torches, melting pots and centrifugal methods, fixtures, floor pit, measuring devices such as micrometers, scales, gages, hammers, tongs, wrenches, drills, taps, reamers, filed, jib hoist, pullers, air tools, thermometers, tempil sticks, etc., porta power, contractor, controller, induction heater, blade inserting machines, riveting machines, bracker peener, punch press, drill press, pedestal grinder, belt grinder, disc arbors, jigs fixture, various hand tools such as power drills, reamers, blade weighing scales, hydra...
