Job Role & Responsibilities

Role: Oversee Manufacturing Engineering activities for Press & Fabrication parts

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination for development & implementation of P&F Parts- ECN & New model
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams for resolving day-to-day assembly Q & P issues and with R&D for DFA and DFM, Engineering, CD/Materials for new product development / existing product
  • Ensure process establishment at supplier ends for components with systems
  • Trouble shooting and exposure to Why-Why analysis, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions

    Competency Requirements

    Technical/ Functional:

  • Knowledge of drawing study, manufacturing process for parts like Fuel Tank, Silencer & other Press Parts
  • DFA/DFM Study related to product & process design for press & fabrication parts- existing & new model parts
  • Process improvement & Audit at vendor end for overall PQCD improvements
  • Provide technical expertise in press and fabrication processes, including tooling design, material selection
  • Initiate cost saving activities related to product & process
  • Ability to plan equipment and processes for New products
  • Expertise in UG NX version and conversant with AutoCAD
  • Expertise in Teamcenter
  • Good knowledge of and exposure to P&F related manufacturing processes in-house & vendor end
  • Knowledge of DFMEA,DFM,DFA & DFS aspects

  • Good knowledge of design of Sheet metal fabricated parts

  • Good knowledge of design of sheet metal forming, deep drawing, welding, tube bending, etc.
  • Good knowledge of DFM requirements of Press & Fabrication parts
