    Job Role & Responsibilities

    Role: PPC Manager– Material Planner/Buyer (Proprietary & Electrical)

    Responsibilities:

  • Planning, Scheduling and chasing of Proprietary / Electrical parts for Motorcycles.
  • Responsible for Right Time / Right quantity material availability & Achievement of Production / SPD Targets
  • Maintaining the equilibrium between Production and Inventory Planning in consultation with PM & Materials Functions.
  • Long term component requirements against different planning scenarios vis-a-vis capacity of the OEM in consultation with Materials dept.
  • Identify the constraints of material management which affect production targets and take corrective actions in advance.
  • Interface with Materials, Production, Quality & Manufacturing Engineering, to manage the Engineering change implementation for existing model and hassle free introduction of new model. Ensure Zero Non-moving during changeover.
  • Interface with Finance & Internal Audit for Material accounting issues
  • Carryout PIV for all factory and Vendor parts, Timely disposal of Rejections from Vendor and Factory.
  • Actively contributes to the development and support of material planning processes and benchmark against best practices in the industry.

    Competency Requirements

    Technical/ Functional:

  • PPC Experience in Proprietary & Electrical Parts
  • Basic understanding of SAP – MM, PP, PPC module or any other ERP.

    • Behavioral

  • Polite, Team working
  • Good listening capability
  • High degree of alertness on/off duty
  • Supporting in Nature, Inquisitive and have eye for detail
  • Maintain integrity standards as per company policy

    • Specific expertise required for functional area:

  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal + Drafting)
  • Good interface ability and multi-tasking
  • Exposure to JIT/TPS/TPM/Lean principles
