MedStar Medical Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. This outpatient-based role supports the Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Clinic, a national leader in the management of cardiac amyloidosis, cardiac sarcoidosis, and other infiltrative diseases.

The NP/PA will be responsible for managing a high-volume, complex patient population in collaboration with cardiologists and nurse navigators, providing longitudinal care, coordinating diagnostic evaluations, managing follow-up visits, and contributing to overall clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and manage patients with infiltrative cardiomyopathies in an outpatient setting

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of the Medical Director

  • Facilitate new patient consults, diagnostic workups, referrals, and follow-ups

  • Provide patient education/advocacy and longitudinal disease management

  • Lead multidisciplinary team engagement in amyloidosis/sarcoidosis, clinical research, data collection, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:


  • Licensed NP or PA with relevant clinical experience (cardiology/internal medicine preferred)

  • Proven ability to function independently in a fast-paced specialty care environment

  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and organizational skills

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week; no weekends or holidays.
