Microsoft Consultant

Overview

Data#3 is seeking an experienced Microsoft Security Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Perth. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimising Microsoft security solutions across customer environments, working on high-impact security uplift initiatives and M365 security transformations.

You will work closely with customers to assess security posture, implement best-practice Microsoft security controls, and provide expert guidance across identity, endpoint, data, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and configure Microsoft Security solutions aligned to customer requirements and security best practices.
• Deliver security uplift initiatives across Microsoft Purview , Defender , and Sentinel platforms.
• Implement and optimise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) , Information Protection, and Information Security controls using Microsoft Purview.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender solutions, including Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud.
• Design, deploy, and tune Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR solutions, including analytics rules, workbooks, and incident response workflows.
• Support secure M365 configurations across identity, collaboration, and endpoint services.
• Implement and manage Intune and Windows 11 SOE solutions, including security baselines and compliance policies.
• Conduct security assessments, provide remediation recommendations, and support ongoing optimisation.
• Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge transfer to customers.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Microsoft Security Consultant or Senior Security Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Information Security)
• Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud)
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Microsoft 365 security architecture
• Intune and Windows 11 SOE
• Solid understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security, and cloud security principles.
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
