We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant specializing in Supply Chain Management for a short-term engagement. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Warehouse Management (WMS), Inventory Management, Procurement, and Distribution , along with hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing D365 F&O modules.

Job Title: D365 F&O Functional Consultant Supply Chain (Contract / Offshore)

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a D365 F&O Functional Consultant
• At least 2 full-cycle D365 F&O Supply Chain implementations
• Certification in MB-330 or other relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus

Job Description

These are the core functional areas a consultant must understand in D365 F&O:

1. Warehouse Management (WMS)

Configuration of warehouse structure (zones, locations, aisle, bays, etc.)

Mobile device setup and configuration

Work templates and location directives

Wave management, work classes

Put-away and picking strategies

Cycle counting, spot counting

Warehouse processes (Inbound, Outbound, Transfer, Replenishment)

2. Inventory Management

Item model groups and tracking dimensions (serial, batch, etc.)

Inventory journals (movement, adjustment, counting)

Reservation hierarchies

Inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, Moving average)

Inventory closing and reconciliation

3. Procurement and Sourcing

Purchase orders, Vendor collaboration

Vendor delivery performance

Inbound process from vendor to warehouse

4. Sales and Distribution

Sales orders and return orders

Shipment creation, picking, packing

Integration with warehouse outbound flow

5. Transportation Management (TMS)

Freight setup and carrier management

Route planning, rate engine setup

Load planning workbench

6. Master Planning

Demand forecasting

Planned orders (purchase, transfer, production)

Additional Skills:

• Deep understanding of D365 F&O data model (especially WMS & Inventory tables/entities)
• Experience with Data Management Framework (DMF) for data migration/imports
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train end users and provide post-implementation support
