 TITLE:
Senior AX Developer
REPORTING TO: ERP Project Manager
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore (IN)
OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
As a key member of the ERP team, the Senior Dynamics AX Developer will be responsible for grooming, designing, developing/customizing Microsoft AX based on the user requirements from the business stakeholders. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write, document, review, improve and troubleshoot code;
Work closely with the functional team and the Solution Architect to understand and groom the user requirements, and design solutions based on AX and software engineer best practices;
Prepare technical specifications, flow charts, software diagrams, and other technical documentation;
Perform merge, build and deployment activities to promote the code to higher environments;
Perform unit testing of all the customizations before promoting the code to higher environments and handing over to the quality assurance team.
Support or execute data migrations activities using the Microsoft Data Migration Framework or other technologies;
Perform AX Help Desk support, normally via Key Users, Business and Functional Analysts and coordination of related work across the different IT team members;
Diagnose problems, recommends solutions, and determines whether program requirements have been met and/or must be improved;
Contributes to the definition, improvement and strictly follow the best practices and procedures defined to ensure full compliance to the Eurofins and industry best practices.


OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:
Assists in the training and development of technical support staff;
Ensure follow-up to his/her Manager on a regular basis and as often as requested;
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA:
Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews, and annual reviews 

REQUIRED PROFILE:  

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of prior experience with software development, configuration and system support with Dynamics AX 2012;
  • Relevant active technical participation in projects using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 modules like General Ledger, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales & Marketing, Procurement & Sourcing;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing reports using SSRS;
  • Good exposure to .NET programming in the scope of interfaces;
  • Installation and configuration of Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and its related components.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Very high proficiency in Dynamics AX development and customization aspects, including X++ programing and AIF;
  • Extended knowledge of Object-Oriented programming technologies, including X++ and C#;
  • Solid knowledge of Dynamics AX Architecture (layers, models, tiers, etc.);
  • Deep understanding of RESTFul services, web services, WCF/AIF and service-oriented-architecture;
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing and create new reports using SSRS;
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 data structures;
  • Understanding of Team Foundation System, proper code control, and branching of code.

    • Travel:
    Travels to Eurofins facilities mainly located in Europe and US are required (up to 15% of the time).

  • MCA or Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

    • PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA : Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
