About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled O365 Engineer with expertise in Microsoft endpoint and server technologies to lead and support infrastructure modernization initiatives. The role involves managing on-premises servers and Windows environments while driving the transition to cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft Intune and Azure. You will play a critical role in endpoint security, system reliability, and user lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration from SCCM to Intune, ensuring smooth transition of policies, applications, and devices.
  • Package, publish, and maintain applications in Microsoft Intune.
  • Configure and manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) in Intune for granular user/device permissions.
  • Deploy and manage devices via Windows Autopilot.
  • Monitor, identify, and remediate vulnerabilities using Microsoft Defender XDR/EDR.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (servers, workstations, patching, misconfigurations).
  • Review, manage, and test backups, recovery procedures, and security protocols.
  • Guide the migration of file servers to Azure, including planning, testing, and user training.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for onboarding and offboarding processes, system configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on patch management, security hardening, and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in SCCM and Microsoft Intune administration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Windows Autopilot deployment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR/EDR and vulnerability management.
  • Strong Windows Server administration skills (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, patching, security).
  • Experience in file server migrations to Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with backup management and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, endpoints, and security tools.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Azure AD, Entra ID, and M365 security tools.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
  • Exposure to RBAC models in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, or MCSA/MCSE.
