**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Midlevel Front-End Developer, you will join a team building internal tools for automation, analytics, reporting, and proactive activities that help our Technical Support engineers deliver first-class remote and onsite services. We’re looking for someone with solid experience on larger projects in dynamic environments. You’ll face interesting challenges and see your work benefit thousands of IBM users.
Responsibilities:

Write and maintain front-end code and build/run it on IBM Cloud, including L3 support across dev and prod.
*
Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and adherence to standards.
*
Remediate security vulnerabilities and keep dependencies current.
*
Stay up to date with React and TypeScript trends, best practices, and tooling.
*
Learn, understand, and document the high-level design of related microservices.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
*
Proficiency in React and Redux, Git, and RESTful API integration.
*
Strong unit testing and TDD practice; hands-on with CI/CD and DevOps and continuous improvement.
*
Experience working in microservices architectures.
*
Solid understanding of Agile and practical use of Jira for planning and tracking.
*
Experience with Sass and Less for component styling.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
*
Experience with React Query for server-state management and data fetching.
*
Knowledge of JWT-based authentication and secure REST API integration (token/refresh flows).
*
Proficiency with D3.js for interactive, data-driven visualizations.
*
Experience with Selenium for UI test automation.
*
Background in React performance optimization (profiling, memoization, virtualization, code-splitting).
