Job Description Summary The Military DoD SkillBridge program offers Service members a unique opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through specialized training, apprenticeships, or internships during the final 180 days of their service. By connecting Service members with industry partners, SkillBridge allows for real-world job experiences in compliance with Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Eligible Service members may receive up to 180 days of permissive duty, enabling them to focus on training full-time with approved industry partners, contingent upon written approval from their unit commander. As a partner in the SkillBridge initiative, GE Aerospace provides hands-on training and work experience in high-demand fields, allowing Service members to showcase their skills for potential employment opportunities.
