Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Modern Trade Specialist to drive and expand our presence across key modern trade accounts such as Reliance, D-Mart, Vishal Mega Mart, and other national and regional chains. The ideal candidate should possess strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of modern trade operations, and the ability to drive growth through listings, promotions, and in-store execution. This role requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and proven experience in managing large-format retail partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead modern trade expansion by developing and executing strategic growth plans.
- Manage and strengthen key account relationships with major retailers such as Reliance Retail, D-Mart, Vishal Mega Mart, and other chains.
- Secure product listings, finalise commercial terms, and lead negotiations to enhance brand visibility and revenue.
- Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and fill rates, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless supply and execution.
- Oversee planograms, promotions, and retail activation calendars to enhance in-store visibility.
- Track market trends, shopper behaviour, and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, category, supply chain, and finance teams to support launches and promotions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of senior-level experience in modern trade sales within FMCG or related categories.
- Strong network and established relationships with major modern trade retailers.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing national or regional key accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
