Job Responsibilities

To analyze customer’s requirements to spec proposal relating to EPS.


- Responsible for motor mechanical design and design documentation release.


- Good knowledge in materials mechanics and theoretical mechanics and basic in dynamics.


- Communication with global team and customer for program and electrical technical review.


- Execute Nexteer Product Development Process assignments on schedule. Participant the PDT meeting.


- Support EPS production in region, and provide product engineering expertise to support supplier development, manufacturing quality analysis, and customer requests. Lead product electrical problem solving and root-cause analysis.


- Support new business pursuit activities for motor hardware application.


- Support project cost and timing estimations & continuous Cost Improvement Process (CIP).


- Lead problem solving / root cause analysis.


- Clear understanding on Validation requirement at motor level and EPS system level and plan for Internal and customer specific ADVP.


- Enhancing the current system design with new technology and based on future OEM requirements.


- Ensure seamless communication and documentation between all stakeholders.


- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation throughout the product lifecycle.


- Leverage knowledge of local supplier bases and competitor product landscapes to inform design decisions.


Job Requirements

· At least 5 years of relevant experience on Motor Design.

· Knowledge of the local supplier base in steering components and systems.


- Familiarity with competitor product landscapes within the steering industry.

Automotive electronics-Magnetic background is preferred


- Program management experience


- Experience in field failure analysis and strong problem-solving capabilities

Education.



- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/power electronics engineering, Automotive Engineering.
