MOTOR INSURANCE - SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Street Pricing Motor Unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and integration
  • Data preparation and maintenance development
  • Support the development and updating of unit reports
  • Design, deploy and monitor Machine Learning models for Motor pricing
  • Ensure that machine learning models adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, implementing necessary checks and documentation
  • Collaborate with other Business Units to define technical specifications and requirements for data solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and objectives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Previous experience of 3-5 years as Data Engineer/Scientist or similar role in Insurance field, familiarity with Motor business would be an advantage
  • Strong experience with Machine Learning models development in Python (scikit-learn, Optuna, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc)
  • Strong experience with SQL and PySpark for Big Data processing
  • Proficiency in MLOps tools and practices
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or similar)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar)
  • Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics would be a strong plus
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Power Point
  • Proactive and innovative attitude in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
  • Great curiosity in order to create an overall vision
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
