An opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment in Raleigh, NC. This contract position involves performing advanced imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a professional setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification with professionalism and accuracy; obtain patient history and pregnancy status where applicable.
• Operate MRI scanners proficiently, applying knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy and MRI technology.
• Administer oral and intravenous contrast agents safely and according to established protocols.
• Manage image transfer processes, including using PACS, EMR, and scheduling software to ensure accurate, timely reporting and billing.
• Interpret scanning protocols, adjust parameters as needed, and troubleshoot equipment or procedural issues collaboratively.
• Maintain compliance with ARRT certification and participate in ongoing continuing education.
• Support department workflow by managing schedules, maintaining clean workspaces, and documenting quality improvement opportunities.
• Precept new employees and students, fostering skill development and departmental excellence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified and active ARRT MRI Technologist credential.
• Solid knowledge of MRI technology and anatomy.
• Experience with MRI contrast administration, including safe injection techniques.
• Familiarity with PACS, IMPAX, EPIC, or similar imaging and information systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with patients compassionately.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
