Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to support imaging services at a premier medical center in Lexington, KY. This contract position involves working three 12-hour day shifts every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, offering a consistent weekend schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Siemens MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and safely
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to MRI safety protocols, including researching implants and following scanning guidelines
- Collaborate with anesthesia teams and manage imaging for pediatric patients effectively
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records using PACS and Epic systems (preferred)
- Work within a Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital environment, applying specialized knowledge and skills
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current BLS certification and ARRT (MR) registration are required
- State license is not required for this role
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or teaching hospital setting preferred
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI scanners is mandatory
- Familiarity with Epic and PACS systems is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and protocols, especially regarding implants and anesthesia considerations
