MS Sr. Systems Engineer (Backup)
Experience - 5-7.5 yrs
Location - Pune 

Responsibilities:

Establish, manage and maintain the Allscripts Global Managed Services Storage and Backup infrastructure that meets agreed functional requirements and customer expectations.

Backup : EMC Avamar, Commvault & Data Domain

• Strong background (3 to 5 years) in backup technologies EMC Avamar, Commvault backup tool and Data Domain
• Master server, Media server configuration and connectivity.
• Local database backup and log pursing.
• Add-remove of appropriate backup data agents for Exchange, SQL, etc as needed.
• Configure LAN and SAN & NAS based backups using EMC Avamar, Commvault.
• Configure all kind of Database (oracle, SQL etc.) backups and restores.
• Configure Backups for Virtualization Software Like VMware, & Hyper etc.
• Strong background in backup/recovery solutions EMC Avamar.
• Installation and configuration of Avamar agent on physical server at windows, AIX, Linux.
• Restoration of Window and Unix flat files, SQL DB, Exchange DB in EMC Avamar backup tool, Commvault.
• Backup configuration for SQL database, Oracle database, Exchange database.
• Experience Backup management inclusive of administration, implementation, upgrade, troubleshooting, system management.
• Decommissioning clients which include perform full backup and deregister server from the backup tool.
• Prepare daily backup report and health status of all backup clients.
• Excellent knowledge on Microsoft Office suit – MS Word, Excel.
• Prepare & share daily weekly & monthly report.
