The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Country Medical Director, as the Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will support CSL's products and therapeutic areas in our Mexico sales affiliate by advancing scientific and collaborative relationships and acting as a conduit for timely translation and communication of knowledge with key members of external healthcare communities and internal stakeholders towards optimized patient outcomes. Your function will be anchored in educating external and internal stakeholders in the science behind, and safe and appropriate use of our products. You will gather and translate relevant and actionable insights from their external interactions and provide Medical Leaders with information that identifies scientific and educational gaps. You will support the generation of clinical-scientific knowledge and applies subject matter expertise and experience to special projects.
The Role:
Acquire and maintain an advanced level of clinical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL’s products. Maintain a basic level of clinical-scientific knowledge about the broader portfolio of CSL`s products and the diseases they treat.Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in objective-based interactions with which to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical-scientific information relevant to CSL`s products and areas of therapeutic interest.Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL’s Investigator Study (IIS) program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions.Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).Attend scientific and medical meetings.Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions.Delivery of special medical projects may be required.Your Skills & Abilities:
Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine. (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred3-5 years' relevant pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry experience.Prior experience providing MSL level support to products in specific therapeutic area.Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.Works independently with minimal supervision to achieve operational targets with direct impact on departmental results.May manage projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex, sometimes requiring understanding of broader set of issues.May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.Select jobs may have formal supervisory responsibilities for support employees.Our Benefits
