Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role at CSL.
Reporting to the Country Medical Director, the MSL will support CSL's products and therapeutic areas in Mexico by fostering scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and communicating insights to internal stakeholders.
The Opportunity
This hybrid role combines on‑site and remote work.
The Role
- Acquire and maintain advanced clinical‑scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL’s products.
- Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health‑economic data.
- Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical‑scientific information.
- Provide high‑level information about CSL’s Investigator Study (IIS) program and monitor progress of approved IISs.
- Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy‑aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference interactions.
- Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g., HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies).
- Attend scientific and medical meetings.
- Deliver approved educational programs and training to internal functions.
- May be required to deliver special medical projects.
Your Skills & Abilities
- Degree in nursing, pharmacy, or advanced degree in science/medicine (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
- 3‑5 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- Prior experience providing MSL‑level support to products in a specific therapeutic area.
- Practical knowledge of clinical‑scientific issues typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
- Works independently with minimal supervision to achieve operational targets.
- May manage projects or processes independently.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower‑level professionals.
- Manages complex problems requiring understanding of broader issues.
- Influences others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
- May have formal supervisory responsibilities for support employees.
