Work closely with customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Effective, polished interaction with customers to gather information quickly, explain customer responsibilities in resolving the issue communicate next steps and status and inspire confidence. Handle and solve the escalations given by associate engineers in the team. Manage shifts and coordinate between different teams in resolution of issues and tasks. Train the L1 engineers and provide support as and when needed. Work in 24x7 shifts as well as be flexible to cover shift when needed. Basic knowledge of FTP, DNS, SMTP, Http, Https TCP/IP Network, SSL Certificate. Basic knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, NAT, PAT, Proxy, routing, Internet security. Experience of monitoring tools such as Nagios tool and Ability to troubleshoot alerts triggered by monitoring tools. Installation, Management, and administration of various flavours of Linux (Centos, RH). Basic Knowledge of Apache server configuration and troubleshooting. Experience in making customer reports, Inventory, Diagram, Page management. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Basic knowledge of HTML, SQL and at least one programming language such as C, C++ or Java Basic knowledge of vulnerability assessment / penetration testing will be desirable. 2+ years of experience in support either in network or security. Should have handled team of at least four to five members. Should have worked in support environment with escalations handling. The candidate with a BE/MCA degree with a strong academic record would be preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience directing your own work. Ability to learn new technologies. Experience in customer interactions and managing customer interfaces for multiple customer engagements. Self-driven and able to work with teams. Excellent in trouble shooting and persistent in problem solving Should be ready to work in shifts and week offs would be Monday and Tuesday
Role:
As a MSS Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of Security Management and Monitoring services to clients world-wide. The MSS Engineer will be performing activities such as ensuring availability and logging consistency of customer security. Also, at the same time you have to work with your colleagues to ensure there is unanimous understanding of the project deliverables and meet required timelines.
