About the role

We’re currently seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Operators to join our crushing team at the QCoal Northern Hub, located in Collinsville. Reporting to the Crushing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and productive operation of Excavator and Loader working in and around the crushing operations, maintain ROM pads, and support coal handling operations across site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience operating the following equipment
  • Hitachi 490 LCM Excavator (essential)
    Cat 988K Loader (essential)
    Terex Finlay J. 1480 Jaw Crusher (desirable)
    Terex Finlay TC- 80 Tracked Conveyor (desirable)
    Terex Finlay I 140 RS Impact Crusher (desirable)
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and complete required production and safety documentation

  • Maintain ROM pads, stockpiles and haul roads to required standards

  • Work closely with road train operators and dozer operators to ensure consistent material flow

  • Follow mine plans and daily production schedules

  • Identify and report hazards, equipment faults and near misses

  • Contribute to a strong safety culture and team performance

    • About you

  • Demonstrated experience operating large Heavy Earth moving equipment in a mining environment

  • Experience loading trucks to correct weights per trailer, using bucket weightometers (loadrite or similar)

  • Current RII or equivalent competency for Front End Loader operation

  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and achieving production targets

  • Ability to work in a rostered, site-based environment (day and night shifts)

  • Ability to meet site medical and drug/alcohol screening requirements
