Job Overview

Malas Development is hiring a Multifamily Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up, wood-framed, multi-unit residential and mixed-use projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is designed for buildersnot paper-pusherswho have personally managed large multifamily jobs in the field and know how to keep fast-moving projects on track with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ground-up wood-framed multifamily and mixed-use projects from pre-construction through final closeout.

• Own project schedules using Microsoft Project and drive milestones without constant supervision.

• Lead subcontractor buyouts, coordination, and performance management.

• Track budgets, cost codes, and change orders using Procore and Excel.

• Run weekly coordination meetings to maintain momentum and accountability.

• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.

• Ensure projects meet design, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

• Drive closeout including punchlists, O&M manuals, and warranties.

• Work directly with ownership in a lean, decision-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing ground-up, wood-framed multifamily construction projects.

• Direct experience building and managing multi-unit projects (not single-family homes, schools, or institutional builds).

• Strong working knowledge of Procore, Excel, and Microsoft Project.

• Proven ability to run jobs independently and maintain pressure on schedules

• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
