Major/Essential Functions

The Multimedia Specialist will support the Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance (IGCAST) by developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance the institute’s visibility within and beyond the university. This position is responsible for content creation, event promotion, and public engagement through print, digital, and social media. The Multimedia Specialist reports directly to the Director of IGCAST.
  • Design, develop, and publish engaging content for IGCAST’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Write and edit news stories and features highlighting faculty research, new publications, and grant awards.
  • Produce short videos and multimedia content to communicate IGCAST discoveries and technologies to general audiences.
  • Design, compile, and produce the annual IGCAST report and periodic newsletters summarizing key accomplishments and activities.
