Job Description
Help Shape the Future of AI Music: Audio Preference Rater & Annotation Specialist
Are you a music producer, audio engineer, or a dedicated audiophile with an ear for detail? Do you want to play a pivotal role in training the next generation of AI-synthesized music?
We are launching a massive initiative to refine and improve music synthesis models, and we need experts to help us bridge the gap between machine output and human artistry.
The Mission
We are building one of the industry’s largest audio preference datasets (~1 million annotations). Your insights will directly influence how AI understands quality, naturalness, and musicality.
What You’ll Do
This project is divided into two core areas of expertise:
1. Audio Preference Evaluation
Listen & Compare: Review original audio samples against two AI-synthesized versions.
Rank & Rate: Evaluate samples based on clarity, realism, and musical fidelity.
Analyze: Identify artifacts or distortions and provide written justifications for your choices.
2. Music Captioning & Descriptive Annotation
Deep Analysis: Write long-form descriptions (300–500 words) for tracks.
Deconstruct Sound: Break down genre, mood, instrumentation, rhythm, and cultural influences.
Standardize: Help us reach a goal of 500,000+ high-quality annotations.
✅ Who You Are
The Critical Listener: You can hear the slightest \"digital artifact\" or unnatural pitch shift that others miss.
The Music Scholar: You have a background in musicology, production, or audio engineering and can speak the language of music.
The Detail-Oriented Pro: You thrive in high-volume, precision-based projects and can meet consistent weekly targets.
The Communicator: You write clearly and can articulate complex audio differences in English.
️ Key Requirements
High-quality audio playback setup (Studio headphones/monitors recommended).
Reliable high-speed internet.
Availability for contract/project-based work.
Why Join Us?
Cutting-Edge Tech: Work at the intersection of music and Artificial Intelligence.
Flexibility: Fully remote, scalable project engagement.
Impact: Your feedback will be used by global research and engineering teams to define the future of sound.
