Muthoottu Mini - Senior Manager - Credit - Microfinance

Mini Financiers Ltd., with a proud legacy of over 100 years in financial services, is looking for a seasoned professional to join our fast-growing Microfinance Division.<br/><br/>We are seeking a highly capable Senior Manager Credit (Microfinance) to lead and strengthen our credit operations.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>- Develop and implement robust credit policies, underwriting norms, and risk assessment frameworks for microfinance.<br/><br/>- Lead end-to-end credit appraisal and loan approval processes across branches and regions.<br/><br/>- Monitor portfolio health and take corrective measures to minimize NPAs and delinquencies.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with field operations, collections, product, and compliance teams to align credit decisions with business goals.<br/><br/>- Mentor and train credit analysts and branch staff in credit assessment and risk management techniques.<br/><br/>- Drive digitization of credit processes for improved efficiency and faster turnaround.<br/><br/>- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and NBFC-MFI regulatory requirements.<br/><br/>- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and portfolio reviews.<br/><br/><b>Candidate Requirements:</b><br/><br/>- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.<br/><br/>- Certifications in Credit/Risk Management will be an added advantage.<br/><br/>- Experience: Minimum 10 years in credit assessment, underwriting, or risk management in the Microfinance or NBFC-MFI sector (Mandatory).<br/><br/>- Strong analytical and leadership skills.<br/><br/>- Sound understanding of microfinance customer profiles, portfolio trends, and lending dynamics.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with credit bureau reports, MIS tools, and Loan Origination Systems (LOS).<br/><br/>- Willingness to travel across regions as required.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Profile:</b><br/><br/>- Experience in NBFC-MFI operations within Kerala or familiarity with Kerala market and customer base.<br/><br/>- Malayalam language proficiency is a plus.<br/><br/>- Candidates currently based in Kerala or willing to relocate to Kochi will be given preference.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
