Role Purpose (Mission)


The Sales Executive – Direct Business is responsible for acquiring new industrial customers through inbound leads and proactive prospecting, while nurturing existing client relationships to drive consistent year-on-year business growth. Success in this role is measured by revenue generation, conversion efficiency, and long-term customer retention.

Key Outcomes & Success Metrics

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and improve business value year-on-year from the existing customer base.
  • Convert a minimum of 25% of qualified enquiries into confirmed orders.
  • Onboard at least 10 new industrial customers per month.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups, accurate reporting, and strict adherence to defined sales processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and convert business through inbound leads, referrals, and direct prospecting.
  • Develop and manage relationships with industrial clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct product presentations, negotiations, and closures with decision-makers.
  • Track enquiries, follow-ups, and closures using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, support, and operations) to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to improve conversion rates and revenue growth.




Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • MBA or Engineering background preferred; however, strong relevant sales skills are valued over formal education.

Experience

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in B2B industrial sales.

  • Proven experience in direct client handling, new business acquisition, and customer retention.

Preferred Industry Exposure

  • Industrial safety products or industrial consumables.
