Educational Qualification

10+ 2 and AME Diploma (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer)

Others

Must hold ASNT Level II and NAS410 certification in at least two Techniques (Liquid Penetrant Testing, Eddy Current Testing and Ultrasonic Inspection)

Work Experience -Relevant/ Total Years

Min. 1-2 years of experience as a Technician and minimum 1 year experience as certifying person

IT Skills

MS Office, excel, power point, Worked on Aviation Software like AMOS

Behavioural Competencies

Collaborative approach, Good Interpersonal skills, Team Management.

Job Requirements And Responsibilities

Workshop – NDT Engineer/ Chief Inspector/ Sr. Inspector/ Inspector (NDT Shop)

  • The NDT AME / NDT Inspector must ensure that his/ her AME license/ Authorisation is current and valid on the type of aircraft/engine/systems to be certified by him/ her.
  • Carry out NDT Inspection on aircraft structure, engines & components as and when required.
  • It should also be ensured the approved methods, tooling, procedures and materials are used in carrying out the said work.
  • To ensure that tools and equipment used during maintenance are calibrated and in serviceable condition, and are not mishandled during use.
  • To ensure that only approved materials and parts are used and the approved spares have necessary documentation and certification before installation on the aircraft.
  • Should be in full uniform & Presentable as per company guidelines at all times while on duty.
  • Analyse the inspection data and work out with engineering for resolving the issues.
  • Coordinate with QA&TS and study all SB / Inspection schedules requiring NDT and prepare for tooling and necessary equipment / materials.
  • Work on specified processes / standards as recommended by Manufacturer / DGCA and liaise with manufacturers for any specific training requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring and testing instruments in open set ups and monitor calibration of such instruments.
  • Will be responsible for keeping up to date all documents related after NDT inspections and associated Logs.
  • To develop multi skilling traits and work in other departments of Engineering when not carrying out NDT Inspection, as per guidance of QCM.
  • Perform trainings on NDT and related subjects for the other eligible personnel in the company.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following laid down standards and practices.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
  • Be aware of and comply with his / her safety responsibilities and accountabilities as laid down in the IndiGo SMS Manual, Chapter Safety Policy and Objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by Work Shop Manager.
