Role Summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an experienced NDT professional for the role of Assistant Manager – NDT at its Hazira facility. The position involves execution and coordination of Non Destructive Examination activities for pressure vessels and critical components, with a strong focus on Ultrasonic Testing and advanced UT techniques.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Ultrasonic Testing of welds for pressure vessels and other critical components

- Execute Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection

- Review and support Radiographic Testing including film and technique review

- Prepare inspection reports procedures technique sheets and calibration block drawings

- Plan and coordinate overall NDE activities for assigned projects

- Ensure compliance with ASME codes standards and customer specifications

- Coordinate with customers third party inspectors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

- B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant NDT experience may be considered

- 4 to 6 years of hands on experience in NDT

- UT and RT Level II certification is mandatory

- Strong exposure to pressure vessel manufacturing and inspection

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection

- Knowledge of TOFD

- NDT Level III certification
