Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician to provide high-quality care at multiple facilities in Colorado Springs. This role is vital in ensuring expectant mothers and their babies receive expert medical attention through comprehensive consultative services and perinatology care. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert Maternal Fetal Medicine care through consultative and perinatology services.
• Work collaboratively with a team of MFM specialists, midlevels, and support staff.
• Cover both UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central & Memorial Hospital North, including ultrasound and hospital consults.
• Adhere to call schedules, including weeknights and weekends, with a flexible approach to daytime coverage.
• Participate in on-call duties during specified shifts and respond promptly to clinical demands.
• Supervise and coordinate with ancillary staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and sonographers.

Required Skills:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynecology with subspecialty training.
• Valid medical license to practice in Colorado.
• Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine, ultrasound, and high-risk obstetrics.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to respond swiftly within 20 minutes when on call.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR and ViewPoint ultrasound reporting.
• Previous work in hospital-based maternal-fetal care.
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced ultrasound technology.
• Flexibility to accommodate variable daily schedules.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship.
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience in high-risk obstetric care.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to cover 1-2 weekends per month.
• Willingness to work shifts from 5 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and weekends.
• Travel reimbursed for expenses including flights, lodging, car rental, and mileage, with prior approval.
• Ability to secure hospital privileges within approximately 90 days.
• Must hold or be eligible for an active Colorado medical license.
